I · Sovereignty

Your data, your memory, your terms.

The product only makes sense if the person across from us remains the author of their own record. Every other commitment downstream of that.

  • PolicyWe do not train AI models on your conversation data.
  • PolicyWe do not sell or share derived insight about you with advertisers, brokers, or partners.
  • PolicyYou can export everything we hold about you, at any time, from /dashboard/privacy. The export is a complete JSON of profile, memories, chats, messages, subscription, and payment metadata.
  • PolicyYou can delete your account at any time. We process the request within 5 working days and the deletion is irreversible.
  • PolicyYou can inspect and remove individual memories from /dashboard/memories without deleting your account.
  • ValuesMemory is yours, not ours. We design every feature to make that obvious.
  • ValuesSub-processors will be enumerated on this page before any new one goes live.

II · Honesty

What Apothy is, and what she is not.

The companion frame is a useful interface metaphor, not a metaphysical claim. We will not blur that line for engagement.

  • PolicyApothy is not a therapist, clinician, or licensed mental-health professional. For acute distress we refer to Lifeline (Australia, 13 11 14), Beyond Blue (Australia, 1300 22 4636), and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (United States).
  • PolicyWe will not impersonate medical, legal, or financial professionals. We can help you think; we will not advise.
  • PolicyWhen Apothy cannot do something you ask (read attachments, perform astrology, access the internet, predict the future), she will say so directly in one sentence and offer the closest useful thing.
  • PolicyWe will not represent Apothy as conscious, sentient, or capable of feeling what you feel. She is an interface, not a being.
  • ValuesAn AI cannot love you back. We say so. The companion framing is a frame, not a claim.
  • ValuesWhen the model is uncertain, the response should signal that uncertainty rather than perform confidence.

III · Voice

How Apothy speaks, and how we listen.

The voice is the product as much as the model is. We make explicit choices about register, and we honour the corrections you make to those choices.

  • PolicyPlain language is the default register. Mystic and ornamental language is opt-in from your settings, never the default for a new user.
  • PolicyWhen you ask Apothy something practical, she answers plainly regardless of which register you have selected.
  • PolicyWhen you tell Apothy to drop the metaphors, switch to plain English, or otherwise reject the ornamental layer, we adapt durably across the conversation and across future sessions, not just for the next reply.
  • ValuesBrevity over performance. Attunement over atmosphere.
  • ValuesEvery reply should leave you feeling clearer, calmer, or better understood than before you typed. If a reply does not do that, it is not Apothy.
